Title: This works!
Review: We have a Pomeranian dog that lives next door to us. As cute as this little dog is, her consistent barking was driving me nuts! She is quiet when her owners are home but as soon as they leave, she barks constantly. They leave her outside all day and bring her in at bedtime so her barking started at about 6:15 am (when they leave for work) and ended late afternoon. I had researched several different items and wasn’t sure on any of them. Due to the high rating of this, I decided to give it a try. To my complete amazement, this product worked pretty much instantly. We are on day 2 of using it and I cannot believe how much more peaceful my house is. I opened my window (she is about 20 feet away) and said “no” in a stern voice, and she continued to bark, I then gave 1 short blast of co2 and she quieted down instantly. She then started to bark again and I again said “no” and gave another short blast of co2. That was the end of her barking! I have had to do this 2 additional times, once more yesterday and once this morning. I can also walk out into my yard and she hasn’t barked at me once, where she used to bark constantly. I don’t know how this exactly works but I know that it works! The sound it emits is just a hiss of air.

Title: Fragile, not safe for young children or elderly folks.
Review: Easy to use. Good design. Dog responded well.But the material used was not up to the job.The second time we refilled it with a new co2 container it started leaking through the trigger valve, not where the co2 container screws in but the release valve. We tried another co2 container but the leak had become very bad. The co2 container emptied all at once. The metal parts became so cold my fingers nearly froze to the metal parts.

Title: I like what the product does
Review: I like what the product does. With just a day of using it with my bulldog mix rescue dog, she was learning to break her attention from my chickens and ducks, and neighborhood squirrels and rabbits with just a simple No! from me. Well, I used up one cartridge the first day. The web site says 25-35 blasts depending on how it is used. I had no problem with that. Well, the next morning she had an appointment to be spayed. Set up the other new cartridge that came in the package to be ready for the trip to the vet. She got a bit antsy outside the vet with all the sounds and smells so I hit the trigger for a blast of air. Nothing!! It was a complete dud. OK, aggravating but not the end of the world. She was going to be out of commission for a few days recuperating so I ordered a 10 pack of the cartridges. A couple days later the cartridges showed up and I happily screwed in one looking forward to a good training session. PFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTT — all the compressed gas blew out in about 3 seconds as I was screwing it in. Ice forming everywhere from the cold gas…. Hmmmmm. Maybe I screwed it in too slowly (didn’t think so but benefit of the doubt and all that…). Screwed in another and gas blew out both through the nozzle and around where the cartridge screws in and should seal. I went ahead, after taking a deep breath, and tried one more in case I was completely brain dead (I was – for trying again 🙂 ) with the same results. Left a message at the Pet Convincer site but no response.So, to sum up — it is a great idea but the quality of the device leaves a whole lot to be desired since it would no longer work correctly after using one cartridge. I am returning it and I guess I will just eat the order for the 10 cartridges (7 good ones left)……Update: I have a message on my phone from the Pet Convincer folks. I will try to contact them tomorrow and see what we can resolve. I would really like to get it working correctly. Fingers crossed!!Update #2: Just received a call from Karen and they are going to replace my unit and the wasted cartridges!! So, I have changed the rating to 3 stars pending the exchange. If the new unit works as it is supposed to, I will definitely rate the product a 5. So far, seems to be good customer support…….Update #3 (and final, I hope!!): I received a replacement PC in the mail today along with replacements for the 4 CO2 cartridges I wasted. Hopefully this one continues to work correctly. As I mentioned int he first line of my review, I like what this product does….. I just had a problem that it quit working so quickly. I’m hoping that I just got a dud and this one continues to work correctly!!!

Title: Great, but needs fresh air
Review: This is a wonderful training tool for dogs. I used to it break my dog out of barking his head off at every passing dog by telling him “no” and when he continued, I sprayed at his shoulder. He then looked at me and quieted and got lots of treats.The bad: I got literally 6 short bursts of air out of each canister. That’s a problem. I don’t know if it didn’t seal well or if the canisters are just old or what. I bought a new canister at a local store but it was too many ounces so I couldn’t use the cover… we will see how long that one lasts.

Title: Recommended by Our Dog Trainer
Review: Our new puppy has been too eager to engage our old cat in what might have been fun puppy littermate “play.” We will begin her formal training in another two months when she’s had all her vaccinations, but needed to address this issue immediately. The trainer we will be using suggested the Pet Convincer, so I bought it immediately. As he told me the technique is to say a firm “no” before spraying it over the back of the dog while it is doing the undesired behavior. Then when you say “no” in the future, the dog associates that command with the spray and sound made (sound is not audible to human ears). Needed to do it a few times…but now saying no and just carrying it around, reminds the puppy not to be over reacting with the cat. I also give her a few Cheerios as a reward when she’s being calm around the cat.Some reviewers have said the aerosol canisters don’t last very long at all. I have used my first canister about 16 times and its still got spray in it. The packet comes with two canisters. I bought an extra box because I will also use this if we encounter unruly dogs off leash when I can start walking her. There is also a Pet Convincer2 product that does not seem to get such great reviews. I purchased the Canine Innovations Pet Convincer product so my review it for that product that I purchased on Amazon.

Title: Broke or cracked somehow and wouldnt hold the cartridges any longer
Review: It was working for us and then after about 6 co2 cartridges later and about 2 weeks, it was blowing thru the cartridges – like a leak and all the air would leak out immediately – these things are too pricy to break so easily – we were not hard on it either – sad because it did help to snap our puppy out of bad behavior but dang only for less than 2 weeks. Not a good training tool, if you cant continue on with it and I AM NOT BUYING ANOTHER just for it to break too.

Review: I have used the pet corrector before. Cones in a red can let’s out a blast of co2 and somewhat of a hiss slight whistle type sound..gets the dogs attention. I thought I’d try the convincer since I wouldn’t need a need to buy a new can everytime just the cartridge. Well this thing barely let’s air out there no hiss or whistle complete garbage and whe I contacted the seller they offered my 10% of what I payed ($65+ and $16+ shipping) and I could keep the product and give to someone or I could pay for the return postage send the product back and they’d refund 20% of what I payed. Now maybe if it was because I didn’t like the color or something beyond their control but bottom line they 100% garunteed it to work and I watched a video about it and its nothing like what they advertise and still im beat for my money and I can’t give it away its useless defective or something but I gotta eat it I guess? Beware of this product and the seller quite frankly they’re both completely useless.
