Title: My cat loves it. So do I.
Review: My cat prefers running water (follows me to the bathroom sink when I brush my teeth) and will kind of ignore water in a bowl unless it’s like 10 minutes ago fresh. This made me think seriously about the kitty cat constant water movement drinking fountain. I’m glad I bought it. Living in the Sonoran desert, humans get dehydrated and can develop kidney stones and diabetes exacerbations, plus heat stroke and death pretty commonly. My cat refuses to live completely indoors as she is a formerly feral cricket hunter, so she comes and goes as she pleases through the dog door. She drinks water from the chicken watering dishes unfortunately so I had to make something available to her that she would find attractive enough that she would use preferentially, and low maintenance enough that even I could manage to keep it safe and functional. Like humans and other vertebrates living in the desert, cats cansuffer from medical illnesses that are partially or completely preventable through proper hydration. How to get cats to drink the water that they need? Make it attractive to their innate cat aesthetics. Like humans, cats want water presented a certain way. Apparently moving water is a major thing for cats. All cats? I’m not sure, but for my cat, definitely she prefers quietly running water over still, just sitting in a bowl for who knows how long- type water. It’s a really big deal to this particular cat, and over many years it could make a huge difference for her kitty kidneys. This “indoor waterfall” is agreeable to my cat. I bought the filters that fit this device and have replaced the first one upon one month of fountain use. The filters did remove some gross stuff (hair, dust, a bit of nature-slime, etc) and the fountain was easy to disassemble, clean, change filter, reassemble and reinstall. I bought a set of replacement filters along with the purchase order for this cat fountain, as I didn’t want to have to go back and figure they out later. I keep a supply of filters handy for various devices, such as the dust buster, vacuum cleaner, air purifier, and AC unit. For the cat fountain, the purchase separately filters were easy to change. The removal of a the slight lime build up (calcium carbonate deposits get on everything that southern Arizona tap water touches) was easily done, with a few spritzes of cleaning vinegar and a dishrag. If the water level gets too low, the trickle becomes a bit louder and eventually the stream becomes uneven, may even pause for a few seconds. I noticed that in time fortunately, added more water, and the fountain resumed operating smoothly. A caution to other consumers…. Do keep an eye on the inside water level by occasional visual checking of the little window with the glowing blue light. Once you begin keeping on eye on the water level through this window, have a quick peek every couple days, you will know when it’s time to add more water. I just fill a drinking glass or clean coffee mug with tap water and pour it ONTO the top surface of the device. The newly added water runs through the machine, joining in the loop cycle of the pre-existing water. If you are willing to do the maintenance once a month (unplug it, disassemble a few parts – easy, no tools, not too confusing or difficult really, even if the written instructions are useless / nonexistent, the parts themselves pretty much show you how to put them together), do this upkeep once a month, clean it with a vinegar water spray bottle and a rag, change the filter (easy) put it back together, add a little water, plug it in, add a little more water, keep an eye on the water level through the window with the sweet blue glow light that shows it’s working fine, just a little bit of attention gives you a nice smooth running water fountain for filtered water, constantly moving, for your kitty to have an important disease prevention measure in place.In summary, I’m glad I bought this thing, my kitty likes it, it works great and it isn’t loud. It’s like a quiet trickle of a stream. This is an excellent cat water fountain, I’m glad I bought it. My cat will demand to be fed and that still has to be done. But remembering to fill a clean water dish for her every day, now that’s not necessary. It’s a gift to my cat and myself that makes our lives easier and better.

Title: Great fountain for pets
Review: This water dispenser has great features. Large basin holds a couple weeks worth of water for my dog. The fountain does NOT take up space, blocking pooling water access, like many others I researched do. It has a blue light when adequate water in the base. That turns red to show low water level. I purchased the needed filters & supplies, so we’re good for many months. It is very quiet, performs perfectly, is easy to clean & change filters. Very affordable. This product is wonderful! I highly recommend this product!!

Title: Fit for a finicky cat
Review: We bought two different units before settling on this one. Our cat approves of it. It’s nice to have the option of a bubble up or facet watering unit. I love it has a blue LED for light and lets you know if water is low (red). The filter and motor are one of the best designs I’ve seen and work well. I recommend this unit, especially if your cat is smaller and timid (of water and most other things).

Title: Quiet & Easy to Set Up
Review: I love that the sound level of the pump is very minimal, just a faint hum that you can only hear if it is all quiet in the house. My older cat took to it after one day of investigation. The only drawback I see is that the filtering insert only keeps the water fresh for 2-3 days and then you must refresh the water. The material it is made of is easy to clean and it is easy to put together as well.

Title: UPDATED: Worked well until it didn’t, no customer service
Review: UPDATE: After finally finding the customer service email and providing a brief description and video of my fountain’s issue, I was resent a brand new fountain and it’s been working flawlessly. Customer service was extremely swift and helpful in resolving my issue, so I’ve updated my review to account for this change.PREVIOUS: The fountain itself is great. Very quiet and easy to disassemble and clean, and the cats love the faucet aspect. However, the pump and indicator light started giving me issues within a couple of weeks of use. First I noticed that the blue indicator light no longer turned on, but the red light still worked. But then the pump just straight up stopped working and now no water will flow out. I tried to find a number or email to ask customer service if it was possible to order a new pump, but I wasn’t able to find any sort of contact information.While I really did love the fountain when it worked, it’s basically useless until I can get a working pump. If any customer service representative sees this, please know that I will change my rating to 5 stars if I can get a new working pump.

Title: Clean and easy setup
Review: It’s perfect for my house of 7 cats and kittens to boot. Fresh water that’s filtered is healthier and tastier, quite frankly. My cats took right to it. They were use to it from the Maui fountain I got them 5 years ago, that they still love. It’s a hassle to clean that one so this is a better buy. I love my ceramic fountain but this is not only easier to clean, but it keeps the water cold longer. No noise. Holds plenty of water. Worth the money and durable.

Title: Wish I️ could return it- Noisy!
Review:  Maybe I️ got a defective item but this is not even close to being quiet.My cat refuses to use it because it’s so noisy. I’d return it but it worked fairly quietly for the first few days and I️ really thought I️ had a winner so I️ threw out the packaging. I’ve only had it for a couple of months but it’s been like this for the majority of the time. I’ve cleaned it, tried all different levels of water to see if it would help but it’s still so noisy.
