Title: Great wifi connected feeder with rechargeable battery backup
Review: I’ve just unboxed and set this automatic feeder up, so this may not be a final review, but holy heck people.There is a battery compartment with a rechargeable lithium battery included. Like many products, there is a piece of plastic separating the battery from connection that you must pull out before use. It shows this in the instructions.The instructions are clear and informative. Wifi set up takes 10 seconds for someone who already has Smart Life set up on their device. (Setting up the smart life app is pretty straightforward too, for those of you who do not already use it)Scheduling meals is easy. You must have the feeder plugged in to schedule meals. It disconnects from Wi-Fi to save power in battery-only mode (which is clearly indicated by the LED light color and explained in the manual), but *it WILL still dispense meals according to the previously set schedule*. You just have to plug it back in if you want to change the schedule.This feeder had all of 5 reviews and 2.6 stars when I bought it. I’m glad a took a chance on it. As I suspected, if one can manage to gather a few brain cells together, the battery backup and WiFi scheduling work great.I also think it looks nice and seems very well made. I have a very food motivated cat who has removed lids from roommates’ automated feeders and even managed to dispense food for herself by nudging front-facing, protruding, manual dispense buttons, so I knew if I were to get her an automated feeder that she had access to all the time, it would need to be pretty secure.Well if she manages to unscrew the lid off this feeder or press the flush and discreet manual dispense button on side, I guess I’ll have to apologize to her for thinking she was a cat this whole time and send her to college or something.With it’s appearance, security, ease of use, and rechargeable battery backup, this auto feeder easily gets 5 stars from me. I will update if I find anything issues with continued use, but certainly the complaints made by others which are currently putting it at 2.6 stars are unfounded.

Title: Works once you figure it out
Review: Works great once you connect it to the Alexa app. The product app is not the best and it does not come with any instructions. I had to come back to the product page for instructions in the description section. I would recommend this product if you already use Alexa in your home. I have not tried to use it unplugged yet so I am not sure if that function works but other than that it works perfectly fine once you figure it out.

Title: This product is not working without being attached to power.
Review: I have tried multiple times to charge this product to see if it would stay charged after removing it from power and it does not. I am not sure what is wrong with the battery or the product itself. I was hoping for a wireless feeder for my animals before I went on a short trip this weekend.

Title: Simple setup at a low price
Review: I keep this in a location that is easy for it to be plugged in so no comments on it holding a charge. I will put batteries in it for battery backup if needed. The machine was easy to clean and load.Downloaded and registered in the app easily. No issue connecting to my wifi. I set up six feedings (big kitty needs about 90g/day!) at 2-3 hour increments during the day. I tested it and it appears to be working as scheduled. I did connect it with Alexa but I don’t think I will need to use that as I have the feeds scheduled.

Title: Absolutely terrible *Edit it gets better
Review: This worked great for one day. After that it went âofflineâ and was never able to reconnect to WiFi.***Edit***Once I plugged this in it worked perfectly. Still not sure about using it off the battery but it works flawlessly once plugged it.
