Title: SO glad there’s a vibrate-only mode!
Review: Â NOTE: As of the time of writing, I have not yet tried the collar on my dog (aside from briefly for sizing). He is normally very obedient and easy to teach, but he anxious barks in the car to the point of it being distracting. I’m hoping this will help him learn that I don’t want that (since nothing else I’ve tried has gotten through to him yet). Once I’ve had enough opportunities to try this out and see how he responds to it, I will update my review with my findings..:: INITIAL THOUGHTS ::.The collar came as described and seems to function just fine. The screen is very bright and easy to read. The shock tester light comes with a built-in wrench for tightening the steel probes, which I thought was nice. I was able to cut the collar to length with normal office scissors and melt the end with a quick pass from a regular lighter, exactly as the instructions ask you to do. Changing the mode and sensitivity is very simple and intuitive.Be aware that the collar beeps VERY LOUDLY every time you press a button. It is an obnoxious noise that I hate almost as much as my dog does! I’m SO glad there’s a vibrate-only mode; I don’t know if I’d be able to handle hearing that beep every time my dog barks.Speaking of, let’s talk about the different modes:- The beeping, as previously mentioned, is very loud and obnoxious. In every mode that uses it, the sound will gradually increase in pitch with every consecutive activation. Once it gets to the highest pitch, it will stay there for all further activations until there’s a 30-second break between activations (or until you press one of the buttons on the collar), at which point it resets back to the lowest pitch and starts the cycle over.- The vibrate mode seems to be the mildest of the three, thanks to how obnoxious the beeping is. I didn’t notice any increase in intensity when I tried it, but I did notice different patterns. I’m hoping this will be enough to deter my boy from barking in the car, but we’ll see how effective it is.- The shock mode goes through a similar intensity increase as the beeping (see video for demonstration). The wheel depicted in the instruction manual is a bit misleading. When in shock mode, the collar DOES SHOCK EVERY TIME it activates, but the intensity increases in accordance with what’s indicated on the wheel: – Rounds 1 & 2 are the weakest, comparable to the tiniest bit of static electricity, honestly barely even there (and I’m an absolute pansy). – Rounds 3 & 4 bump up the jolt to that of a regular static electricity shock, enough to be obvious, but more surprising than painful. – Round 5 is where it starts to get painful. I could tolerate it, but I didn’t like it. In my opinion this should have been the highest level of shock. – Round 6 & 7 (yes there is a 7th round that will activate after the green indicator circle is full) are too painful in my opinion. But, like I said, I’m a pansy; my husband could tolerate it just fine, so different dogs might tolerate it differently, too. – After the 7th shock, the device will enter “protection mode” (indicated by a blinking “P” in the middle of the green circle), where it will not activate again for a full minute no matter how much barking there is. I do want to note here that after going through one full cycle, my arm was sore for a little while, so this break is a very much needed safety feature and I appreciate that it’s included. That’s all I have for right now. As I said earlier, I plan to report back once I’ve had the opportunity to test this out and see how my dog responds to it. I hope this was helpful!

Title: I bought 2
Review: 1 doesn’t work and the other goes off randomly when my dog isn’t barking. Or when the dog NOT wearing the actual collar barks. Really wanted them to work for my large and medium size dog. Instead I’m returning…

Title: No simultaneous feed back
Review: Seems sturdy. My only complaint is that the feedback to my dog is linear ( first a vibration and then a shock) not simultaneous. So my dog is confused about what heâs getting shocked for.

Title: Itâs ok
Review: Collar easy to set up. It did help my dog to bark less, the only issue and concerning is that is unlocks super easy so your settings get changed while the dog is wearing it, I put it on vibrate & it unlocks and moves to shocking making my dog cry.

Title: Works great, easy to program
Review: This bark collar charges quickly, is easy to set up, and does the job intended. Our dog hasn’t woken us up in the night barking since we put it on her. However, it is important to know that loud noises that your dog does not make can also set it off. When the collar sitting on the counter and the kids start yelling, the collar is activated. And when my dog is wearing it while in the middle of a group of my very loud guinea fowl, it is also activated. That being said, the collar works well and is a wonderful deterrent. Just be aware that you should probably take it off your pet when you anticipate fireworks or being in a loud environment.
