Title: 100% THE BEST FEEDER…EVER! 100% Satisfied
Review: This is an edit to my original review due to dispensed portion size. It’s confusing in the app that it reads 1/12cups and I understood that to be 1 feed out of 12 cups, when I discovered, it’s actually 1/12th of a cup (ie: to dispense 1 cup of food, you need to do 12/12 cup manual feeds). Still kinds of wonky, but workable. I wish the hopper had multiple slots for dumping food. The portions are sporadic in quantity. The dual bowl splitter to separate the morsels to go into each dish is a gimmick and one dish always gets more than the other (despite changing the splitter positions). Setup was easy – like SUPER EASY! I ordered a different brand and got it the nite before I ordered this one. The other one was CHEAP and it wouldn’t connect after 2.5 hours of trying and married to a system tech so it wasn’t ‘user error’, hence the reason I decided to go with ‘the big rater’ out there and glad I did. The video quality is SUPERB!! live stream is amazing. Downside, you can either pay for a subscription to store videos and images, or buy an SD card. This isn’t disclosed until you’ve unpackaged it, set it up and are within the app when that page pops up. I have an SD card, and signed up for a subscription – I wasn’t totally ‘sure’ that all video’s would save on the card so played it safe.Sound quality is awesome and the nite vision is absolutely amazing. I wish the food tank was vacuum sealed like on another PetLibro model.All in All, I am super, super happy with this and it will allow me to have some peace while on my first vacation in 10 years. Husband will be home with the kitties, but I can’t ‘trust’ him that he’ll fill their bowls before he leaves for work in the morning or at nite before bed – sad really – so this will give me the ability to keep my babies fed and KNOW they’ll get food! THANK YOU PETLIBRO!!! Highly recommended!!!

Title: Easy to set up the feeder and the app
Review: This is my favorite cat feeder so far.The hopper holds a 3.5lb bag of dry food perfectly. It is fairly easy to tell when it is getting low.The cats have enough room so they can both eat with plenty of space.The camera is good enough to see the cats and make sure they are eating. I’ve tried the camera while I’m away from the house and it helped me not worry that the cats were getting enough food. The camera works well enough to see the cats at nighttime as well.The app was easy to set up on an iPhone. The interface seems intuitive. It has a lot of granularity on how much to dispense.The speaker on the feeder isn’t very loud but as soon as it triggers the cats will come bolting from any room in the house.The only cons I have are:1) The food doesn’t dispense evenly, one side always seems to get more. This isn’t a problem for my cats but is worth mentioning.2) The app can be a little noisy with how many notifications it sends. It is sending notifications for sound alerts but those are usually people walking by. I’m hoping to figure out how to quiet that down without missing any cat related notifications.3) The video is grainier than the listing implied it would be. But it is still clear enough to check on the cats and the food dispensing.4) The app doesn’t seem to pick up on low food warnings. It requires visually inspecting the feeder. I’m not sure if this is a bug or a lack of a feature. While it would be nice, the cats are very quick to let me know if they didn’t get a meal. I double check it is full to the top before we will be away and make sure the cat sitter knows to check it.

Title: Feeder good, with pros and cons
Review: I wanted to give this feeder a few extra days testing before I posted my review for my 2 cats.Goods:* No issues connecting….my router is 10 feet away, Wifi through the app worked well…I used the non-lite app version as was instructed.* While it seems to dispense well, the ration for the dual trays are hit and miss…this isn’t really a problem as am putting in a minimum amount through several daily feedings as I believe in mostly wet food feeding…I purchased it mainly for days I am out longer in between the canned feedings.* The cam videos…some are good….but there are cons…* The feeder holds 5L of food, which is plenty depending on your pets feeding habits. I have not had any real issues (yet) as to how it dispenses, no jams (kibble is small/round).* I set up calling my kids with my voice during scheduled feedings, and it works.* Feeding schedule is easy to do.* Getting around the app and making changes and viewing videos is good.* Looks nice and modern, blends with decor.* Stainless steel bowls…(Con)..but getting them out to clean is a struggle as they are recessed to keep kibble from falling through gaps..A hole under the base under each bowl to pop it out makes sense. I used a regular square napkin below the bowl with a corner sticking out to remove easily.* The lock button works well, as my one cats tried to trigger the unit to feed. Just remember to long press the unlock key to use it. It will automatically lock again on its own.* They haven’t knocked it over yet..the dual trays help keep it stable. (Plus the weight of the food.)Cons:*Having issues with playback, sometimes it works, sometimes not, I purchaseda128gb card to accommodate my recordings, as I will not pay subscription prices…for 150 bucks…well…you decide…same for the silica packs…* The camera should show the whole bowl, not just half…I would like to see all of what’s in the bowl…I’ve overfed with manual feedings when away, and I didn’t need to because I could not see the back half of the bowl.* The camera likes to take random pictures (purple flashes) before it shoots a video which I don’t know why, and it adds unneeded files to my SD card. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or what. It’s not motion from anything. And it’s not recording sound.*Some of the video is grainy, on HD, with multicolored fuzz…it’s possible the nightmode change triggers this….still investigating…*The Desiccant holder accommodates the 10gram pouches I purchased separately (the con is I won’t pay $15 for a 6 pack from Petlibro when I can pay $10 for 30 packs for a reputable brand). 14 days to change the silica pouch seems a bit early, but that depends on the food and it’s moisture content.* The feeding system is confusing…..1/12 cups is like 2-3 teaspoons..I need 3/12 cups to give 1/4 of an actual cup of kibble. Why can’t it just be normal measurements? This was the most frustrating part I had to look at the reviews here to figure it out. My conclusion is it’s still a good buy, you get to feed your kids when you’re gone for extended periods and not have to worry about them going hungry, You can even watch them live when they do… It is a bit overpriced but it’s also peace of mind when it works properly. If they would change the feeding measurement ratios to match true cup measurements, that would be a plus…. The camera is hit and miss for recording, perhaps app updates will help the camera software… the main reason is for the feedings, and it does do that.

Review: When have 2 growing female sister cats under 12 months. Lately they were trying by all means to wake us up at 4:30 AM to get their morning meal. Cats are night hunters. The PETLIBRO allows us to sleep a little longer after 2 days. :-)The device is well built with attention to details like disassembly for cleaning, electrical wire placement.PROS: Cover seals tight. Ease of setup. Ease to clean. Removable bowl for cleaning. Size of reservoir. Ultra quiet. Good priceCONS: Food reserve sensor is a bit high in the reservoir so you have to put at least 10 cups of food in.Like I said, we have 2 young cats that are hyper active and the portion size is perfect.

Review: Was really reluctant to get one of these, because my cat is a bit of a scaredy cat and doesnât like changeâ¦and gets a bit spooked when you do change things up. 2 reasons for getting this a) portion control and b) so that I can go away for a couple of days. This unit accomplished both. Instructions for set up could have been a little clearer in my opinion. Itâs a neat looking little unitâ¦and works like a charm. I am wondering if you can purchase new dishes for the feeder so that you can clean and rotate them – just nice to have an extra. The blue light flashes turns to a flashing red light when the feeder is low on food. There are batteries for backup in case there is a power outage. I am delighted that my fur ball is getting his daily quota and heâs ok when I go away. Very happy and recommend!

Review: I like how you can regulate how much food you give your pet and how many feedings per day. It’s very practical when you have to leave them for a day or two. I don’t use the voice message, as it scared my cat, but it’s a cool feature. I have had it for around a year, and it’s still working great.

Review: Was looking for a solution for my very vocal kitty who would wake me up every morning, meowing for his breakfast. Also after this pandemic is over, I needed a feeding solution as my kitty does not exercise self control.After I received the PetLibro, I found the set up to be quite simple and intuitive. The feeding chart was a bit complicated for me to understand, because I give him three meals a day. I would suggest highlighting the fact that 1 serving equates to 1 tablespoon to make it simpler for people figuring out portions. In addition, the container lid is quite snug, but for added security, I would suggest adding a safety/security latch for adventurous pets who may want to access their own buffet.Really happy with all the product, the build quality, the packaging and the voice recordings!
