Title: Decently strong magnets, locks are a bit finecky
Review: Overall I think this is a great pet flap option for larger breeds of cats. It was very easy to install and my cats are all able to use it now… after a learning curve. The locks are a bit finecky and it took me a bit to remember which lock locked which direction of the flap. The flap does have a magnet at the base, and it’s pretty strong. It took my cats a bit to realize how much pressure it took to open this flap and that it wasn’t actually locked. There being a magnet also causes the flap to shut quicker, and this caught our cats’ tails for the first few weeks. Didn’t seem to be painful, as the flap isn’t heavy, but I’m sure they hated it until they figured out how to get through the flap quickly.

Title: My cat learned how to unlock it
Review: It’s a great product. Very durable, easy to install. We lock my cat in the garage on nights where he’s extra chatty so he doesn’t wake the kids. And he has learned how to slide the tabs to unlock the door lol. Works great for all other purposes

Review: the install was very easy I did it without power tools. It’s not too heavy and the magnetic door works great. It’s not too loud as the cats go in and out my only concern is that if the cats push on the edge of the door it won’t open other than that it works great

Review: …but don’t worry, this cat door isn’t close to perfect 😉 It’s good, but just narrowly missed being “oof”Pros:* Inexpensive* Has an interior shroud/channel so it looks nice when used with hollow core doors* 4 way locksCons:* Hollow core door installation, while technically possible, is heckin dodgy (details below)* the locks are super flimsy – as noted in other reviews, a determined kitty will not be stopped! Think of these “locks” more as suggestions, not commandsHollow core door installation:1. The installation comes with a template for outlining the required cutout. However, the template instructions now that it might ” be off by 3-5mm”. Didn’t sound like much, so I wasn’t worried.2. However, the screw holes for the upper corner mounts are about 3-6mm away from the lines the template creates. Now I was worried: installing in a cheapo bulk-grade hollow core interior door, there wasn’t going to be much for the mounting screws to now into, even under ideal conditions. But having them so close to the cutout is …not great 😬3. Speaking of the screws: each half of the door has its own set of 4x oddly long wood screws, instead of bolts+nuts for connecting the 2 halves through the door. Unnecessary, but mostly moot in lieu of points 1 & 2Having said all that: I got it installed, and it seems like it should work. Will update if/when that changes 🤞Update (Jan 2024): still using this door in it’s originally installed location 🙌 For all my concerns about the mounting, it’s held up well – then again, my 3 little calico babies aren’t going to put *too* much stress on it. Locks: as noted, they are pretty much useless – but as an even more fun wrinkle, my cats managed to lock one side or the other on their own on multiple occasions. So now the locks are taped over, rendering them inoperable by man or beast; so if the locking mechanism was drawing you to select this item: maybe keep looking..

Title: Definitely worth it!!!
Review: I keep my litter boxes in this tucked away closet and I could not deal with the fact that I had to leave the door open constantly so I bought four of these cat doors because I intend to use two of them when I build a patio for my cats outside but these two I used to make two entrances to said closet so that the cats can get in and out easily to access their litter boxes.For the price the quality is pretty decent they lock very well I personally took the doors out of this particular project but the doors functioned extremely well as did the locks.Installation was relatively easy I did have to go over to a neighbor’s house to borrow a reciprocating saw and then I hand carved with a working knife to make it exactly the size I needed.The instructions are a little weird but honestly if you know anything about basic crafting it’s not that hard. All I did was trace the outside to show where they would sit and then I traced the inside and had the gentleman cut it slightly larger than the line cut for the inner dimension.It worked out well the door doesn’t look bad and one cut easy.I also like the fact that it came with the screw caps so that you do not have screws visible there’s a little white cap that you put over the screw and you don’t even notice it’s there!

Review: Easy to install, great instructions, everything you need to get the job done, and they look great. I bought three of these so that my 5 cats could have access to the unheated front porch, and unheated rear porch, and utimately access to our fenced in backyard. I installed these doors in three very different types of doors in my house, and each one was a breeze. Tools you’ll need will be a jigsaw, screwdriver, and maybe a chisel. I drew the shape of the cat door on my actual door, and then cut back from the line an eighth of an inch so there was room to adjust. Fantastic product, and over a couple of weeks, all 5 of my cats have learned how to use them. Highly recommended.
